mousesports has done it. For the first time in a long long time, the German team can pull out victorious at an international event.

Extreme Masters II has found its end here at CeBIT. Four intense days of high-level Counter-Strike has ended. Who would have thought that mousesports should be the overall winner? Many predicted fnatic and Made in Brazil to be the top names at the finals, but that wasn’t really the case. Both of them went out in the group stage.

Instead another team surprised. Danish SoA shocked everyone, when they sent fnatic out of the tournament. mousesports played really bad at NGL One Season 4 finals and many said they would not stand a chance versus the elite at Extreme Masters II finals.

mousesports did come from lower bracket and had to win two maps, in order to bring home the title. First map de_dust2. Mousesports started out with taking first half as CT 10:5. Needing 6 rounds in order to bring out another map, was no problem for mousesports. Lead by gore and cyx, mousesports could easily secure the 6 T rounds, as second half ended 6:4 in favor of mousesports.

Second map should turn out to be a favorite map for the Germans. The map to be played on was de_cbble. The map Germans really do know how to play on, as they play it during the EPS season. mousesports really did show that this is clearly a map e-STRO needs to practice. As this map is known as being a CT dominated map, mousesports pulled off an amazing T side, winning 9:6, helped by Kapio’s amazing 19 frags.
This should be very difficult for e-STRO, and they never really did succeed. e-STRO only managed to take two rounds, while mousesports nice and calm took the needed 7 rounds as CT.
